Glitter, Lace & Lingerie! Oh la la! ~ A Bombshell Bridal Shower for a Bombshell Bride!
Vintage Glam was the driving idea behind this sexy bridal shower.
The hostess wanted to incorporate all the glamour of a bride-to-be with lace, glitter, & gorgeous rich colors. We used printables from both the “Vintage Dame” & “Bombshell Bride” collections in our Etsy Shop to cater this event to the Bride’s personality. Rich shades of purple & black bring the glamour to the sweets table.
Brownie pops dipped in Wilton Chocolate Melts in a gorgeous berry hue are topped with crown party flags and embellished with rhinestones.
Some girls are just born with glitter in their veins.. the bride definitely fits this description. We created these mini crowns from decorative tin strips at our local craft store and sprayed this with glitter to give them a touch of glitz. I love the way they turned out and they very well may be my favorite detail of the shower.
A simply vanilla cake covered in fondant and adorned with lovely lace and a vintage brooch sat upon a hand made cake stand I created using a plate and candle stick sprayed with black spray paint. The lace echoed the pattern of the damask backdrop and was a simple and beautiful addition to the dessert table.
The centerpiece of the table was a vase of beautiful black branches covered in tear drop chandelier crystals.
Gray vintage striped straws were topped with our printable straw flags exclaiming “Oh la la”.
A string of Victoria Secret lingerie was hung for the bombshell bride and was a fun & risqué addition to the lingerie shower that left the honoree blushing.
Candy Bars and shades of purple nail polish served as favors for all the lovely guests. Lets see how many purple nails we see making an appearance at the wedding!
Hope you enjoyed our sparkling little shower and are inspired to shower the bride-to-be in your life with some sexy little things!
(And for all of you who are thinking of messaging me to let me know I have misspelled the phrase “Oh la la” here is a little french lesson for you:
“The French phrase oh là là isn’t so much an expression as an interjection. It can indicate surprise, disappointment, commiseration, … any moderately strong reaction to something that was just said or done. This expression is often used in English to talk about something risqué. It tends to be misspelled and mispronounced “ooh la la,” usually said fairly slowly and with the first word comically elongated.” ~http://french.about.com)
