“Hey Foxy Baby” – Girly Fox Baby Shower Theme

Foxes and woodland creatures are so popular right now. I instantly fell in love with the idea of a fox baby shower theme, mixing rustic charm with girly glamour!

When Tiny Prints contacted me about styling a photo shoot based on one of their baby shower stationery collections, I was so excited! As soon as I saw their Cuddly Cuteness set I knew it was perfect the perfect fit for my vision! The song “Hey Foxy Lady” kept running through my mind as I was planning, and we all know I love a good pun! So the “Hey Foxy Baby” theme was born! (Feel free to sing along in your head).

We combined the Cuddly Cutness Fox with our Rustic Floral Printables to make the perfect topper for these cute Candy Kabobs by Sweets Indeed.

I found the most gorgeous peach sequin tablecloth from Candy Crush Events– It seriously brought the entire shower together and couldn’t of been more perfect!

Next I contacted my favorite cookie artist Tara from Bambella Cookies. The cookies she created were almost too cute to eat! Seriously dying over their adorableness!

Most of the shower was a DIY project from the flower arrangements, log place holders, right down to the ruffle cake. I picked up French Macarons in the frozen sections at Wal Mart (who knew!?) and decided to try my hand at hand painting some flowers on them with food coloring. They’re not perfect, but I was pretty pleased with the results considering it was my first attempt! Don’t be afraid to try new things when you’re preparing for an event– even if they don’t turn out as awesome as you’d like, the handmade charm with more than make up for any flaws.

I repurposed our Rustic Floral Printables to create the banner, cake topper and place cards.

I originally designed them with a wedding in mind, but they look gorgeous for a baby shower too! Why limit yourself to just your wedding day for such beautiful touches?

MONEY SAVING TIP: If you decide to pick up some logs like these at your local craft store, you’re looking at $7-10 per log! I decided to pick up a bundle of fire wood at my local Fred Meyer and cut down the logs to the same size they sell them at the craft store – for a whopping $5 for the entire bundle! Just make sure you get a bundle that includes a skinny log with bark all the way around!
