When we found out baby #3 was on the way, we wanted a fun and simple way to announce it that the whole family was in on. The kids immediately started battling over whether the baby would be a boy or a girl, so I created the “Team Boy” and “Team Girl” Signs for them to hold. I initially wanted a photo of all of us with the kids holding up their signs, but getting a good photo of all of us at once turned out to be nearly impossible! I was about to give up when the idea of the film strip idea popped into my head!

A Puppy Party & Oriental Trading Product Review
As someone who loves a good pun, I really enjoyed planning this puppy birthday party. From “Pupcakes” and “Lollipups” to “Top Dog Awards” and ice cold “Pupsicles”–it was a fun filled (pun-filled) party to plan! After making a list of all the dog puns I could think of, I came up with a color scheme of black, white and bold and started designing the printable decorations. I incorporated my new favorite pattern, Dalmatian print, and lots of pretty florals to give it a girly touch. While in the planning process, I was contacted by Oriental Trading Co. about doing a product review and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect! They carry a ton of items that were perfect for our event – it was hard to narrow it down. I chose a bunch of fun puppy favors & bold decorations. The result was the perfect party for our little girl– pretty, playful and filled with puppies!
A Boy and Girl Royal Baby Shower
Coming up with a boy & girl baby shower theme can sometimes be a challenge, but when I found out that my friends who are sisters were expecting babies at the same time (one with a girl and one with a boy), I immediately started brainstorming for a joint baby shower! Both of them love fairy tales, and since Sleeping Beauty was a mutual favorite, it became the inspiration for a Royal Baby Shower fit for both a boy and girl. I started by designing the printables with sweet prince and princess silhouettes and some fairy tale touches like the ‘Once Upon a Dream’ banner.
“Make it pink… make it blue!” The color palette was straight out of Sleeping Beauty with both pink and blue and some neutrals mixed in– Mint green and gold.
The cake decoration was as neutral as possible, and it was finished off with a cute crown candle holder I found at Hobby Lobby as a cake topper.
Both of the moms-to-be love crowns, and we used them throughout the shower on the beautiful cookies and handmade cupcake toppers.
Just like Sleeping Beauty, this baby shower took place “Once Upon a Dream”.
Of course the Moms-to-be were treated Royally. No thrones but pretty decorated chairs were setup for each.
Each guest got one of our Baby Shower Bingo cards to fill out for gift opening.
Even the gift table was decked out in Royal Style with our printable banner design.
Our Prince and Princess party ideas would be perfect for a joint baby shower, twins baby shower or even a gender reveal party. You can download all of the printables in our Paperie.
